Dear Family & Friends,
We hope this
letter finds you and your family doing well. Our homeschool family has just
started the 2015 school year after an exciting summer filled with small
getaways, like our visit to the Georgia Aquarium. Our oldest, Daisy, has
started 9th grade. It’s seems like only yesterday she was zooming
around in her yellow toy car and now she’s in high school. Daphne just turned
thirteen and is in 8th grade. Heather and I celebrated her entrance
into womanhood by giving her a ruby ring and an opportunity to interact with the
dolphins at the Georgia Aquarium. Gabriel, our 6th grader, spends
the majority of his free time playing Destiny and dreams of designing the
coolest video game ever. Amaryllis is in 4th grade. She let her beautiful
strawberry blonde hair grow out to the middle of her back, just like her
grandmother. Violet has just started 2nd grade. Like her older sister, Daphne, she
has quite the collection of stuffed animals. God has really blessed us with a
full house.
I’m writing this
letter, because God has given me the opportunity that most fathers only dream
of, the opportunity to go on a mission’s trip with my daughter Daisy. We have
been invited to travel to Aguadilla,
Puerto Rico on October 20-27, 2015 to minister with our friend Rafael
Maldonado Jr. (Ray), who leads the Puerto Rico Partnership of Churches. Ray has
lead ministry teams to different churches and cities in Puerto Rico for over 10
years. His ministry involves teaching, prophetic ministry and
training, treasure hunting, prayer walks, servant evangelism and occasional projects
such as making reading glasses to hand out to families in order to build
friendships with the families and share about God’s love.
This will be
Daisy’s first mission’s trip, which will give her the opportunity to spend time
with the people of Aguadilla. Puerto
Rico represents a Hispanic/Latino cultural mix, and offers countless cultural
experiences and many historical locations to learn about too. We will be taking this trip to Iglesia La ViƱa De Agua Viva, pastored
by Luis and his wife Annie Irizarry, which is one of the churches Ray partners
with, which is Christ-centered and actively seeks to make Jesus known among
unreached people groups.
As excited as we
are about this trip, we cannot do it alone. Along with prayer support, we would
like to ask you to consider giving financially to our trip. We are responsible for raising all of the funds needed, which
totals $3,000 (which pays for the
plane tickets, housing, food and ministry expenses while we’re there.) If you
choose to give, please make checks payable to Bear Creek Ranch (put “PR
Trip” on the memo line) and mail them to 872 Gator Rd, Portal, GA 30450. No gift is too small, and all are
greatly appreciated. Gifts are tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt
in the mail at year’s end.
Thank you for
taking the time to read this and for considering giving. We look forward to
sharing with you about our trip when we get back! If you have any questions
don’t hesitate to contact us.
In His loving hands,
Kevin &
Daisy Trimkevintrim15@gmail.com)
